COHISS has been ranked 20th among over 120 private junior secondary schools in Kumasi. The information was contained in the just released 2004 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) Results Analysis Report released by the Ghana Education Service (GES). The school's pioneer JHS graduates (16 candidates) not only achieved 100 percent pass rate, but also scored 44 and 56 percent among candidates who earned aggregates 06-10 and 11-20 respectively. 10 out of 16 candidates earned distinction. For detailed results, CLICK>> According to WAEC, of the 278,396 candidates that sat for the examination, 170,357 candidates representing 61 percent achieved aggregate 06-30 with 6,260 candidates (2 percent) obtaining aggregate 06. Aggregate 30 is the cut-off point for selection of candidates into various programmes in the Senior Secondary Schools and Technical Institutions. The breakdown of the results is as follows: 19,042 candidates, 7 percent had aggregate 06-10; 55,804 candidates 20 percent had aggregate 11-20, and 95,511 candidates 34 percent had aggregate 21-30. Mr. Emmanuel Osei-Kwaku, headmaster of COHISS remarked, "Our current academic successes are greatly due to the commitment of the management team, dedicated teaching staff, revitalized PTA and most importantly, the hard work and discipline of our students.
