Old Students Show Support for 2006 BECE Candidates.

Old students and a current JHS 1 pupil of Call of Hope International School (COHISS), have sent their best wishes to the 25 candidates who are preparing to sit for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), which begins on Monday, April 24 to April 28 this year.

In addition, they also donated over one hundred (100) pens, pencils and erasers as their token of support for the candidates.  The donors are Sherriff Saheed (Prempeh College, Kumasi); Esther Yeboah  and Akosua Anima Amoah (St. Louis Secondary, Kumasi); Regina Boadi (Anglican Secondary School, Kumasi); and Portia Addae (Kumasi Academy, Kumasi). Abigail Oduro, who is a current a pupil at the school also contributed.
 
According to the students, this gesture is in appreciation of the excellent education and discipline they gained at COHISS and the positive impact it is having on them at their secondary schools.

On behalf of the candidates, Mr. Stephen Gyamfi, the Managing Director of the school, expressed his appreciation to the old students and encouraged them to continue to strive for academic excellence and the exemplarily character that they have been displaying at their various secondary schools. He continued, "we have learned with pride and joy that most of our past students who enrolled in even some of the most selective schools in Ghana are in the top 1% of their classes." Mr. Gyamfi further advised them to hold the COHISS name in high esteem wherever they go.

Mr. Julius Ayimasu, the Assistant Headmaster of the school also expressed his appreciation of the kind gesture shown by the old students. As part of the school's effort in providing continuing support to its former students, Mr. Ayimasu has been visiting some of them at their respective schools to keep up with their academic progress and offering counseling. He intends to visit most of them, if not all of them by the end of the academic year.
