Call of Hope PTA Donates to School
- The newly revitalized Parents Teachers Association (PTA) of Call of
Hope International School (COHISS) has already began to make its presents felt
by donating about sixty five (65) classroom desks at
a cost of almost six million cedis.
In presenting the donation during an executive meeting, the Chairman, Mr.
Kofi Serbbeh, assured both parents and administrators
that the PTA intends to make systematic and significant
contributions that would promote the school's welfare and growth. He
stated that "the last academic year was the best progress the school has
experienced both academically and in terms of facility expansion since its
founding almost fifteen years ago. We shall do our level best, as the PTA of the
school to make it one of the best schools in Kumasi."
Mr. Serbbeh also hinted that the PTA is in the process of developing a
process by which 10 students would be offered partial tuition scholarships
annually.
The selection of the scholarship recipients will be based on students
demonstrated leadership skills, academic achievements and financial
need.
The secretary of the Executive PTA and the school's current bursar, Mr. Julius Ayimasu, who took delivery of the
donations on behalf of the management team, expressed his sincere
gratitude to the PTA commented that "COHISS PTA is already fulfilling its
promise to seek outside resources to support causes that would benefit our
children and ultimately the school."
