COHISS Honours Students and Staff
- Call of Hope International School (COHISS), a fully accredited
interdenominational religious-based school in Kumasi, during its 1st
Speech and Prize-giving day on Saturday, honoured 23 students and
staff in appreciation of their academic achievements and contribution to
the growth of the school.
Three employees who have worked at the school for over 10 years, were
each given cash prize and certificates of recognition.
The 2004 Employee of The Year Award went to Mr. Julius Ayimasi, a former
mathematics teacher and currently the school's bursar. He received a
cash prize of 500,000 cedis, a mobile phone worth 1.2 million cedis and
a certificate of appreciation.
Madam Alice Amoateng, the proprietor of the school, praised the staff
and students for their hard work and dedication. She said that employees
are the school’s greatest natural resource, and must therefore be
encouraged to be productive and satisfying. "Your reputation for
excellent customer service and professionalism are critical to the
growth and welfare of the school. Your effort has already began to show
positive results as students have been excelling academically and the reputation
of the school continues to grow," Madam Amoateng said.
The headmaster of the school, Mr. Emmanuel Osei-Kwaku, in presenting the
"Best Graduating Student Award" to Ms. Akosua Anima Amoah, congratulated
all award winners on their hard work and sacrifice and challenged others
to emulate them in the subsequent years to deserve such
awards. The "Most Promising Student Award" also went
Justice Baidoo.
Mrs. Georgina Kodua who has been a primary school teacher at the school for

years, on behalf of her colleagues expressed their appreciation to the
school's management for the honour done them, and promised that the staff would
continue to closely work with the administration, PTA and students for their
