COHISS Enrolment Surges

Prospective applicants seeking enrolment at COHISS has increased dramatically compared to the same period last year.  The school has seen about 100 transfer students from throughout the Kumasi Metropolitan areas in search of admission.  This is mostly due to COHISS' candidates remarkable success in the 2004 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).  All seventeen JHS graduates are currently attending some the elite secondary schools in Ghana.

Mr. Emmanuel Osei-Kwaku, headmaster of the school commented, "both new and transferring pupils seeking admissions to the school have increased about 100 percent, ranging from KG through JHS. But we can't admit all of them since our policy is to maintain smaller-size classrooms.  Hence, all prospective transfer students would take competitive assessment test in order to gain admission. "

According to the headmaster, the school is in the process of expanding its facilities, including building a new five-room classroom to be able to accommodate more students.
